n The annual Ken Harmount Pier to Pier Paddle fundraiser for San Luis Obispo County Junior Lifeguard Programs will be held today starting at the Olde Port Beach in Avila to the south of Pismo Pier at the Sea Venture Resort. Registration is from 7 to 7:45 a.m. and launch is at 8 a.m.
Cost is $20 for Surfrider members and junior lifeguards (proof of association is required) and $30 for everyone else, which includes T-shirt and water. Paddle crafts will include surfboards, paddleboards, stand-ups, kayaks, canoes, and outriggers.
